Josef Skott-Jatta

Josef Skott-Jatta grew up in Göteborg, Sweden, picked up his first sponsor as a teenager and turned pro for Sweet Skateboards in 2009. Then he moved to Barcelona, for reasons he sums up in three words: "Because it's cold." When the Sweet crew broke away to start Sour Solution, Josef was one of the first riders they added, and he's been part of that family ever since, from the last part in Sweet 'n Sour and a shared section with Wes Kremer in Stee to The Sour Solution 3.

Josef skates transition as naturally as street: hurricanes and noseblunts in the bowl one day, backside 360 flips over bump-to-bars the next. Ask him for a favorite trick and you get "all ollies and spins," which says most of it. That loose, fast style put him on the cover of Kingpin in 2013 and, more recently, in Quartersnacks' weekly top ten for his section in Beyond Medals' Bad Trip. etnies is proud to have Josef on the team.
