the state of the skate backpack market is really sad right now. this is probably one of the best, though. saying that, it has some pros with a lot of cons.
because of the laptop compartment that has velcro flap thing at the bottom to separate the charging block, the main compartment feels more like a mid-size bag. i use mine for groceries and frozen pizza box needs corner bent to fit. six of talls, some limes in the mesh and some munchies fits perfect tho lol.
straps are comfortable with and without sternum strap, and they have mesh venting, but back doesn't have mesh and there is no waist strap. so, every time you pop the thing flops around, also, the straps should have the "yolk" design to increase carry weight potential while prevent tearing. carry strap is just plain disappointing.
molle system is great, but don't know if they really intended people to use them as they don't sell any branded add-on bags. got some standard molle bags from Amazon. was an extra $40, but overall worth it considering slight lack or organization features.
single molle row on the sides are limiting. causing anything attached to hang and flop around. should be two rows. might be cost saving, might only be for carabiner type stuff, but short sighted.
side bags/water bottle holders are decent. however, zipper pockets are thin, so can't put in anything substantial, though, especially at the same time as a bottle e.g. wallet or skate tool.
material is ok, and that would be ok, if it wasn't the same material EVERYWHERE. tbh, if this is designed for skateboarding, then only 800d+ or an industrial diamond dobby stitch material with a reinforced bottom, and, if equipped with skateboard harness, some sort of extra durable possibly synthetic reinforcement where the grip is guaranteed to wear the bag.
overall probably a 7/10.
